Established in 2012, Florida BOLD (Blended and Online Learning Discovery of Florida) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and advancing virtual and online education.
Originally founded as the Florida District Virtual Instruction Program Network (FLDVIPN), our organization began by connecting Florida's district virtual instruction programs to share resources, navigate challenges, and strengthen online learning opportunities. In 2020, we became Florida BOLD, reflecting our commitment to collaboration, innovation, and professional learning in virtual education.
Today, FLBOLD is a growing community of online teachers, instructional coaches, virtual school administrators, district leaders, and educational partners from across Florida and beyond. We understand that teaching and leading in a virtual environment comes with unique opportunities and challenges, and we believe the best solutions often come from learning alongside others who understand that work.
Through statewide Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), professional development opportunities, webinars, and a growing collection of resources designed specifically for online education, FLBOLD provides opportunities to connect, collaborate, and strengthen virtual teaching and learning practices.
Each year, our FLBOLD Conference brings together online educators, virtual school leaders, and industry partners for three days of professional learning, innovative strategies, and meaningful connections. From student engagement and instructional practices to leadership, technology, and school operations, the conference focuses on the topics that matter most to those working in virtual education.
But FLBOLD is more than a conference. We're a year-round community. Whether you're new to online teaching or have spent years navigating the virtual classroom, FLBOLD is a place to find people who understand your work, share ideas that make a difference, and discover new opportunities to grow.
